This practice is recognised as one of the leading specialist contact lens practices in Australia.

We see an incredible diversity of contact lens patients who present for contact lens fitting as a result of conditions such as keratoconus, irregular corneal grafts, failed refractive surgery, paediatric aphakia, high astigmatism, high ametropia, anisometropia, corneal scarring, ocular trauma and the list goes on.

The practice provides all types of contact lens modalities including silicone hydrogel lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, toric lenses, bifocal and multifocal lenses, mini-scleral and scleral lenses, iris print contact lenses (to improve cosmesis, especially in cases of ocular trauma) and bandage contact lenses. We also perform orthokeratology, which is the programmed use of rigid contact lenses to reduce myopia (short-sightedness). We fit contact lenses to all ages, with our youngest ever contact lens patient being a two-week old baby while, at the other end of the spectrum, we have had a few octogenarian patients who are contact lens wearers.

Most of our patients are referred to us for contact lens fitting, but our optometrists will also take the opportunity to discuss the option of contact lens wear with the small number of patients who present just for a general eye examination and prescription of spectacles. We never cease to be amazed at the number of patients we encounter who have been told they can't be fitted with - or believe they are not suitable for - contact lenses due to their astigmatism, presbyopia, very high (thick) spectacle prescription, or some other reason that, quite simply, should not preclude that person from wearing contact lenses. Our staff are happy to spend as much time as you need to teach you to use and care for your new contact lenses & offer ongoing encouragement and support.

If spectacle correction is required, we have an extensive fashion frame selection and access to the latest in spectacle lens technology to ensure that the glasses we prescribe for you not only provide you with the best possible vision but also look fantastic on you.
